Robust geotextile containers for riverbanks and coastline protection
The Stopwave® system consists of sand-filled geotextile containers built to form a stabilising, defensive barrier against coastal and river erosion.
The geotextile containers are made of Geotess®, a durable staple fibre geotextile. It's a versatile system ranging from 500 kg hydraulically filled containers to 5 tons mega sand containers.
Smallest containers, generally used on temporary structures like small sea walls, groynes, riverbank protection and small onshore structures in mild conditions.
Medium sized containers used in groyne structures in mild conditions, emergency works and temporary structures due to versatility and rapid construction.
Largest mechanically filled containers for revetments, reefs and groynes. Filling and placement using specialized hydraulic apparatus.
Stopwave® structures restrict the loss or movement of sand through wave action, tidal currents and wave currents.
Stopwave® structures protect the shoreline by resisting the erosive forces from wave action or tidal events.
Stopwave® structures reduce the size and energy of waves by assisting the wave to break away from the foreshore.
Stopwave® structures provide a base upon which organisms grow in ocean or river systems.
Build structures with variable geometry like groynes, reefs, dunes, dams.
Use sands and gravels from the place of installation.
Made with eco-friendly material, safe for marine environments.
Available in different sizes for each design requirement.
Favourable compared to traditional coastal structures.
Double stitching for maximum resistance, tested at Polytechnic University of Marche.
Light weight and not bulky volume.
